Barbara and Lisa - June 13, 2015

Barbara and Lisa were married at their home in New Lebanon on June 13, 2015.  Yes that says 2015.  (Sorry everyone but I have been busy and it took me a bit to get their photos to post here!)  But I can't let this beautiful wedding go by and not share it all with you!  So please excuse the fact that this is up a year later and just eat up all the yumminess of this special day.

Barbara and Lisa found me online a year before their wedding date and were looking to use my full planning and coordination package.  From the very beginning I was just hooked on these two, and was so excited to go down the planning journey with them!  They live in NYC but have a home in quiet New Lebanon and we all agreed it was the perfect place for them to say 'I Do'.  You see these two had been together for 17 years so tying the knot was a big deal for them!  What better place to do that than their home in the presence of their closest friends.

Planning this wedding was a fun experience for me.  Lisa is a foodie with a specific vision and a wonderfully caring but straight forward manner.  Barbara wanted to make sure everyone had fun but she is the practical one who balances Lisa's more creatively adventurous side.  All of the plans were mapped out with precision and it all came together so beautifully the day of the event.  To them it was all about sharing and celebrating with the people who are the closest in their lives.  They asked a dear friend to perform the ceremony and they included their daughter Zoe and their fur baby Lucy in the most important parts of the festivities.  You can tell from these photos that the weather was gorgeous and that Barbara and Lisa really enjoyed their day - their happiness that day was infectious!

The reason people hire me is because I carefully craft the vendor teams for my weddings.  With Barbara and Lisa we booked Kim Klopstock's Lily and the Rose for catering, rented a beautiful sail cloth tent and farm tables from Rain or Shine, hired the always fun Bill's Toupee Band for entertainment, and sourced the flowers from the ever talented Kathy Rohlfs at Chatham Flowers.  Rounding out the vendor team was the always fun Lauren and Jeremy from LaRose Media on video, equally fun Jen and Chris from True Grace for hair and makeup, design extraordinaire Jenny Shea who created all the custom made and hand drawn stationery, and Premiere Transportation which provided guest shuttles.  All of these wedding photos were taken by Kretschmann Studio.

Barbara and Lisa were such a joy to work with, and getting to see Zoe and Lucy during planning appointments was always a treat for me!  We built a gorgeous event - as a wedding planner it doesn't get much better than this!  Thank you Lisa and Barbara for choosing me as your planner and welcome me into your family for your special day!!

xoxo,

Shannon

Alexa and Sean Posted a Review for Erin Rossi!

Photo by Dave Bigler Photos and Films

Alexa and Sean were married on June 4th at the Inn at Erlowest and Erin Rossi coordinated their wedding day.  These two are fresh from returning from their honeymoon and were kind enough to post this glowing review of Erin's services.  Thank you Alexa and Sean for sharing your experience with WPP!

"Words can't explain how happy we are that we hired Wedding Planning Plus for our day-of coordinator service. We worked with Erin Rossi on our wedding (1 month prior and the the day of) and I am not kidding when I said every single day the month leading up to our wedding "Oh my gosh, what the heck would we do without her???". The month before the wedding things become crazy, no matter how organized you were beforehand. Having Erin help us tie up loose ends, coordinate with vendors, remind us about little details and tasks, etc. was absolutely amazing. Then on the day of...wow. Erin and her assistants were there through everything: Handing me water during photographs because it was so hot out, holding my shoes as we walked around for photos so I didn't have to stand in heels the whole time, making sure the ballroom was setup, coordinating with our vendors throughout the day as they arrived, distributing gratuity to vendors on our behalf and so much more. She even negotiated costs with the venue for us as the last minute because we decided to add an extra hour to the reception. Our day was flawless. WORTH EVERY PENNY."

Danielle and Daniel - October 10, 2015

Danielle and Daniel were married in downtown Boston on October 10, 2015.  Their ceremony and reception were held at The State Room located on the 33rd floor of 60 State Street.  This was my first Boston wedding and these guys definitely made me felt at home with their elegant New England celebration.

Danielle and Daniel were connected to me by Danielle's Maid of Honor Lindsay Simon who was the Maid of Honor and sister to one of my brides from 2014 (thanks so much Lindsay - and what's up Corey and Jamie!).  Danielle and Daniel hired me for Day-of Wedding Coordination and WPP Lead Planner Katie Whitney to coordinate their rehearsal the day before.  Katie lives in the Boston area and is not only my sister-in-law but also my very first WPP assistant so she was the perfect fit to team up with for this event.

Anyone who knows this couple knows that they are two of the funniest people out there.  And for those of you reading this who don't personally know them all you have to do is look through these photos to see what a laugh fest their whole day was.  Even during the ceremony they had their Rabbi cracking up - Katie and I had a hard time keeping it together ourselves.  Danielle and Daniel have such love for one another and their appreciation for good comedy is one element that keeps them so well connected.

There were so many fun details and fun moments throughout this wedding!  Here is a rundown of just a few highlights -
I absolutely loved Danielle's dress and she looked stunning in it.
This wedding gave me my first encounter with Uber (we don't have Uber in Albany - yet) and Danielle was my first bride to be chauffeured to her wedding by an Uber driver.
The view from the event space windows was unbelievable (although sadly I am far too afraid of heights to get all that close to the glass).
I don't think I have ever seen a groom look so genuinely moved by the first sight of his bride.  Daniel you are making every other groom look bad!
And that cake - gasp!  So so gorgeous!

Weddings like this come together with the help of a team of wedding professionals, and I had such a great time meeting and working with these Boston-area vendors.  First I have to give a major shout out to Channing Johnson who photographed this wedding and so kindly shared all of these images with me.  Channing I so appreciate your easy style and your images are amazing!  Katie and I were assisted by Cindy Goodman at The State Room who was so fun and such a pleasure to work with.  Cindy I hope we see you again soon!  Sweet Tooth and the Sugarbabies was the band and they killed it!  The party was so fun that Danielle and Daniel extended the band so they could dance a little more.  New Leaf Flores did all of the beautiful bouquets and centerpieces, McElroy Weddings provided videography service, a team from Charlotte Phinney did all the girls' hair while Karla Patricia and team from Swoone Beauty did all the makeup, Rabbi Al Axelrad officiated the ceremony, and that totally amazing cake was made by Dessert Works.

Thank you Danielle and Daniel for bringing Katie and I on to your team for this major moment in your lives.  You guys were one of the best couples we have ever worked with and you certainly brought enough humor to keep everyone entertained throughout the day.  I wish you both a lifetime of love and happiness and hope that our paths cross again some day!

xoxo,

Shannon

PS - Please check out Danielle and Daniel's wedding video trailer featured at the end of this post.  I had tears in my eyes as I watched it and remembered all of the magic of their day.  Kudos to McElroy Weddings for their beautiful work!!
