Johnson wedding - October 30, 2009

Mr. and Mrs. Johnson were married October 30, 2009 at Glen Sanders Mansion. Both the bride and groom are state troopers, and they met through work and friends many years ago. Their wedding was on a brisk but beautiful fall day, and their photographer Tracey Buyce did a phenomenal job capturing the warmth of the setting sun in some of the outdoor pictures. Tracey rocks!! The colors for this wedding were cranberry and gold, with rich brown linens and bright pops of pink flowers on the tables. The bride and groom decided to go with a "favor" that everyone was sure to love - an ice cream sundae bar! It was super fun and delicious and I'm pretty sure all their guests came back for seconds and thirds. The team at Glen Sanders did an awesome job with the food and service, the flowers and linens were done by the fabulous David Michael Schmidt of Renaissance Floral Designs, and Mike Garassi from Music Man Entertainment rocked the party on the dance floor. This group had a ton of energy and it was too hard for me to narrow down the photos so I hope you enjoy them all!

A look ahead to 2010... Brittany and Schyler

Another one of my fabulous 2010 couples had engagement photos taken that I just had to get up on the blog. (Drum roll...Brrrr... ) Please meet Brittany and Schyler, and their superly adorable son Connor! I have been working with these guys for almost 2 whole years now, and their wedding is just a few weeks away. I love this couple, they are so sweet and so nice, and now that their wedding is only a few weeks away I'm so excited for them that I'm literally counting down the days!

A look ahead to 2010... Lauren and Joel

It's officially 2010 so it's time to get excited about our next year of weddings! We have some super awesome events coming up this year in some of the best venues in the area. I can't wait!

Let me introduce you to one of our 2010 couples, Lauren and Joel. Their photographer, Holly Greene from Out of the Ordinary Photography, took these amazing images during their engagement session with her this past fall. The bride is so sweet and super photogenic, and look how handsome her groom is! Their wedding will be in July 2010 in Lake George. Lots of fun stuff planned - I can't wait to blog about it once it's here!

2009... A Look Back

Wow - 2009 was an amazing year for us! As our little business has grown we have seen steady progress and development from year to year, and I can honestly say that this past year has been our best yet. We are blessed and overjoyed to be able to work with some of the nicest and most wonderful couples around. Not everyone gets to do what they love, and I couldn't be more grateful to my brides and grooms who have trusted their events with us and have allowed us to continue to be successful in this crazy wedding industry we love so much.

As 2009 draws to a close I wanted to use a post to reflect on some of the amazing weddings we've been a part of this past year. I don't always get photos back from every event so this is not a complete listing of everything we have done this year, but you can see from the photos below that we have had some wonderful settings, amazing photographers, and some of the most beautiful couples out there. Thank you to all of this years brides and grooms - 2009 will be a year you will always remember, and I one that I will certainly never forget.

EXCITING NEWS!!! Last week I got a call from a producer at MTV - They found my website online, loved my weddings, and wanted to feature one of my couples on an episode of their show True Life. After working out some details they interviewed my bride and said they were very interested in their story. It's not a sure thing yet -- but it is a strong possibility -- and we'll know very soon if they have picked us. Everyone cross your collective fingers! We're all super excited for the opportunity. I'll keep you all in the loop as the details unfold - Stay tuned!!

I love accessories, especially when it comes to what brides do with their hair. This is one of the prettiest looks I've seen - these vintage hair clips so neatly placed around her bun. They shimmered and sparkled all night. Love love love!

Destination Wedding Spotlight - Las Vegas

Who doesn't love Sin City? With the massive hotels, the famous Las Vegas strip, world class restaurants, shows, and all the crazy nightlife you can handle, it's no wonder this is considered a playground for adults! Not only is Vegas a great place for partying but it can be a great destination wedding location for you and your guests. Consider pampering yourself by the pool or in one of the big resort spas, or combining your bachelor/bachelorette parties in with your wedding week? I took a recent trip to Las Vegas to check out more of what the area had to offer to brides and grooms. Las Vegas has so much to offer - now I just need a couple who wants to take the plunge there!
