"We love Shannon! She saved me from becoming a bridezilla. Shannon is very knowledgeable and nice. I don't know much about American wedding traditions and she explained everything to me clearly and patiently. She also gave us a lot of great ideas that made our wedding a very classic one with lots of wonderful memories. Her suggestions were very valuable and helpful, so listen to her! Shannon also did a great job planning within our budget. On the day of wedding, she was with us the whole day from the morning to the end of the day, and she helped us gathered our stuff and put them in our hotel room. Without her, we couldn't enjoy our wedding so much. She's the best!"

Kristina and Kyle - May 23, 2015

Kristina and Kyle were married on May 23rd and let me tell you it was a day to remember!
Kristina contacted Wedding Planning Plus about a month before her wedding. Concerned about who would handle all of the last minute details, the answer… me!! Through meetings, lots of phone calls, many emails and plenty of hugs, a gorgeous wedding was the result!

Kristina chose soft grey and blush for her wedding colors, a new and upcoming color combo and let me tell you it was gorgeous! Kristina’s bridesmaids wore beautiful grey floor length gowns and Bobby from White Cottage Gardens blew us away with stunning blush and white bouquets. Kristina’s bouquet was wrapped at the stem with white ribbon and turquoise rosary beads for her something blue. Our jaws dropped when we saw her bouquet. Alongside her stunning bridesmaids were two of the cutest ring bearers I’ve ever seen. Both wearing mini converse sneakers, suspenders, pink bow ties and mini aviators!! You have to take a look at the photos to see the signs they carried down the aisle.  They were just too cute!

After a beautiful ceremony at St. Peters church with not a dry eye in the audience the fun really began. Our bridal party boarded the trolley to enjoy champagne on their trip to the beautiful Hall of Springs where guests enjoyed cocktails outside until it was time for the reception to commence. During which time Lauren and Jeremy from La Rosa Media took some beautiful portraits of the new Mr. and Mrs.

When it was time for the newlyweds to be announced they were greeted with a packed dance floor thanks to TS Ensemble who rocked the house.  Guests took few breaks from the dance floor that night but when they did they struck a pose in the photo booth or took a minute to read Kristina and Kyle's love story on their custom made signs. Just when guests started to get tired Mazzone Hospitality opened up a late night bar with mini burgers French fries and milkshakes! It was such a fun way to end a beautiful day.

I was thrilled to be working with an amazing team of vendors who pulled out all the stops for this bride and groom. A huge shout out to Jeremy and Lauren who captured the day in both photos and video, you truly are amazing at what you do! Bobby from White Cottage Gardens outdid himself again, I loved the astilbe in Kristina’s bouquet! TS ensemble had everyone dancing all night long and they brought a long a great photo booth too! Mazzone Hospitality wowed the guests with dinner and late night snacks! I was also lucky enough to work with Father Doyle of St. Peter’s church, Christina Greco with Horsin’ Around Trolley, Upstate Transit and the Saratoga Hilton.

Kristina and Kyle it was a pleasure working with you to make this a day to remember!!
I wish you all the best!!

xoxo,
Aissa

"We hired Shannon for our day of wedding coordinator. She was beyond exceptional! Shannon reached out to me a month before our wedding to get started on our wedding day itinerary and was so organized! She helped us leading up to our big day and then were so incredible the day of our wedding. She was always calm and positive. Her and her assistant Tommie went above and beyond to make sure our day was perfect! If anything went wrong, I never found out! Hiring Shannon was the best decision we made!"

"We hired Melissa, one of the Junior Planners for our "day of" coordination. It was hands down the best money we spent for our wedding. I have a very type-A personality, and I knew that if couldn't control everything the day of my wedding and be in all places at once to take care of all potential problems, I needed someone else to be, so the rest of my family and friends could relax. That is exactly what Melissa did for us. Wedding Planning Plus has unique "day of" coordination services, that start a month before the wedding. We actually started approximately 2 months before the wedding, setting up the timeline of the day, pick ups, drop offs, photo sessions, first dances, toasts, etc. Needless to say, this was being changed right up until the day before the wedding, but Melissa was endlessly patient with me. She made individualized timelines for each member of my wedding party and family members so everyone knew where they had to be all day. Our wedding day flowed seamlessly. We were actually ahead of schedule most of the day. The vendors all knew where they had to be, as she had contacted them all and confirmed the timeline with them as well. I've been to weddings where limos have been hours late picking up the wedding party, and other disasters have happened, as I was determined for that not to happen at my wedding, and thanks to Melissa, it didn't. Also, with the added complication of it pouring on my wedding day, there was always someone there to follow me around and hold my dress up out of the mud all day, which I was endlessly thankful for. I could not have gotten through my wedding day without her. I'm an attorney, and leading up to my wedding day, there just wasn't enough time in a day to accomplish all that needed to be done- thank god for Wedding Planning Plus and Melissa!!"

Today The Review Is For Aissa!

We got another wonderful review posted online today, and this one is for Lead Planner Aissa Murray!  Thank you Kristina for sharing your feedback!

"Our wedding was very big with about 242 total guests (we invited around 287). I planned most of it on my own and was becoming extremely stressed out the last 6 weeks tying up lose ends, making last minute phone calls, and feeling confident that everyone would be going exactly how I envisioned it and planned. Because of me starting to lose my mind, I hired Aissa as a "day of coordinator" and it was the best decision I made! I regret not hiring her sooner as a wedding planner because I would have enjoyed the planning process much more. She literally took care of everything from steaming the bridesmaids dresses, to contacting and working with vendors to create a timeline, to reapplying a fake eyelash when it fell out (she had glue, tweezers, and mascara on her!), to making sure Kyle and I spent as much time partying and enjoying our day as possible. I can't even list everything she took care of because it was so much, Little things such as making sure the cooler for the trolley was filled with ice and beverages for after the ceremony...every little detail counts and she was ON POINT! I e-mailed every day with questions and was probably annoying because I tend to be a bit neurotic, but she always responded and was very patient and kind. She took care of everything I could possibly think of!!!!!! There isn't one single complaint....she even met me at the church for rehearsal on the day of her birthday celebration to hand deliver the itinerary and made sure the guys and girls knew who to match up with. She is absolutely wonderful!"

We can't say enough good things about Shannon and Wedding Planning Plus. Shannon worked with us for almost a year to plan a wedding that suited us perfectly and was an experience that we, and our family and guests, will never forget. We had a great time at our own wedding and that would not have happened without Shannon!
First of all, her selection of vendors was superb. Shannon came to our home to meet with us and masterfully matched us with vendors that would help us create exactly the kind of wedding we wanted. We worked with top notch professionals in every category of service and, what we could not have anticipated but Shannon knew well, was that these people worked together seamlessly - and with laughter! - on the day of our wedding.
Speaking of our wedding day, Shannon coordinated the seemingly ENDLESS number of people and activities FLAWLESSLY. Her calm, gracious presence helped all of us relax and enjoy a fabulous day.
Shannon made the entire experience of planning a wedding - something that can be extraordinarily stressful! - fun, easy and efficient. Besides being an excellent professional, she is simply a lovely person. We were delighted with her services!

Amanda and Bennett - May 23, 2015

Amanda and Bennett were married just 5 days ago at the Sagamore Resort in Bolton Landing.  Their wedding day was picture perfect - as you can see in these, well, pictures!  From the beautiful weather to the stunning flowers to the packed dance floor, and of course those shoes!  This is the type of wedding that couples dream of.

Amanda contacted me just over a year ago and enlisted my help in planning her big day.  She and Bennett live in Chicago but coincidentally Amanda grew up just a few miles from where I now live.  Through lots of emails and a few three-way phone calls we were able to put all of these wonderful wedding details together.  And although Bennett will say that he didn't help with anything I have to think that his quiet support of Amanda's decisions was all the help she needed.

Now for some of the details...  Amanda selected a color palette of soft pinks and corals which was carried through in her flowers and the linens in the reception tent.  Speaking of the tent, I'm not sure I have ever seen Shelving Rock Terrace look that beautiful!  The room was softened by fabric draped from the ceiling, and the custom chandeliers over the head table and the dance floor were to die for.  Amanda loved the look of lavender sprigs on her wedding cake and chose to add a single sprig of lavender to each of the guests' hemstitch napkins.

And can we talk about the dance party??  From the minute the Hora started at the beginning of the reception it was obvious that this group was ready to party.  The only time guests stepped off the dance floor was to jump in on the Elario photobooth with its cool pink sequin backdrop.  Oh wait, there was one other time guests stopped dancing, and that was to step out on the lawn to watch the surprise fireworks display!  Amanda's parents wanted to surprise Amanda and Bennett with a fireworks ending and it was a spectacular way to wrap up an absolutely incredible wedding day.

I had the pleasure of working with an All-Star vendor team on this wedding.  First I have to give a major shout out to Joe and JP Elario from Elario Photography who not only took these amazing photos but also had them edited and out in just 5 days!  That's fast!  The incredible flowers and decor were all coordinated by the talented David Michael Schmidt at Renaissance Floral Design.  I loved all those peonies and astilbe!  Garland Nelson and Soul Session absolutely killed it when it came to the music and the party.  I can't emphasize enough how packed that dance floor was!  I also got to work with Make Me Fabulous, Jenny C Designs, Rabbi Monte Sugarman, Santore's Fireworks, Upstate Transit, and of course Erin Hamel and Abigail Shriber from the Sagamore.

I apologize for the long post but when you have a wedding as perfect and gorgeous as this one it is hard not to go on and on about all the goodness.

Thank you Amanda and Bennett for choosing me as your wedding planner.  I am so happy for both of you!!

xoxo,

Shannon
