Beth and Rob - August 1, 2015

I had the recent pleasure of coordinating a wonderful wedding for Beth and Rob who were married on August 1, 2015 at Hamilton College and Harding Farm.

The event was held in Clinton, NY and Beth and Rob live in NYC so a ton of the planning was done remotely, which can be tough, but these two handled it like champs. Beth and Rob are both very detailed oriented and this shows in the great details of their special day.
The day began with the bride and her girls getting ready at Harding Farm, which also is where the reception was held. I loved this part of the day, it was very cozy and all of Beth's girlfriends were on hand to keep her relaxed and enjoying this time. The majorly talented Tina Commisso Barbato of Flawless by Tina was on hand for makeup and the also seriously talented Gina Tarbell was making everyone's hair so beautiful. These ladies did a fantastic job!

Once everyone was beautified, Beth slipped into her absolutely jaw-dropping gown and had her first look with her Dad, a moment that brought tears to many eyes. Then we headed over to Hamilton College, which was where the ceremony was being held, for the First Look for the bride and groom. Beth and Rob met at Hamilton so this was just so perfect, the First Look in the gorgeous gardens right on campus. After that, some family photos were taken (there were lots of cooperative children in the group!) and then the ceremony took place in the chapel at Hamilton College.

One element I really liked was that Beth and Rob both had "Friends of Honor" partake in their ceremony. As Beth put it, it was a way to include all of their close friends without having a million bridesmaids. Very cool, I love the way modern day brides and grooms can totally put their own spin on the bridal parties!

After the ceremony everyone loaded into school busses and headed less than a mile to Harding Farm, where a beautiful tent awaited for the reception. I should mention that the weather was absolutely perfect on this day! Guests were able to enjoy an outdoor cocktail hour and some lawn games as well as some delicious cuisine provided by Colgate Inn Catering. Jana and crew, you were amazing! Thank you! Once guests were seated in the tent, they enjoyed some wedding formalities, a fantastic dinner, beautiful table décor and then the amazing Dexter Lake Club Band. This band is absolutely thrilling and did just a spectacular job!

The evening would not have been complete without an ice cream truck that pulled up and surprised the guests, or the pizza/beer pong party that was held post-reception. Such a fun time!

I want to give special shout outs to the wonderful vendor team we had this day starting first with Caly Doran at Calypso Rae Photography who knocked it out of the park with these photos!  I also worked with Jana and the staff at Colgate Inn Catering,  Becky at Harding Farm, Rachael at Morris Tent, Jamie and the Dexter Lake Club Band, Laurie at Chester Florist, Stephanie at Stone Industries, Father Cuddy, Tina of Flawless by Tina, Gina Tarbell, Joanne of Knot Just For Weddings, Gloria's Ice Cream Truck, Danelle and staff at Hamilton College, Pya Cope Seidner, Tammy at Serendipity Cakes, and Tony's Pizza. Everyone was so amazing and made a very memorable day for Beth and Rob!

Beth and Rob, it was a pleasure to get to know you and work with you on your wedding day! I wish you a happy and blissful marriage!

xoxo,
Erin Rossi

Michelle and Anthony - July 25, 2015

Michelle and Anthony were married at The Sagamore Resort on July 25, 2015.  They picked an absolutely gorgeous day for a wedding on Lake George and they treated their guests to an incredible Adirondack experience.

Michelle first reached out to me back in November looking for day-of wedding coordination.  Anthony had proposed to her on the lake right in front of the Sagamore a year earlier and they knew they had to come back to that magical place to say their I Do's.  She had a vision of having an elegant wedding with chandeliers and colors of pinks and corals.  She was on track to build an amazing wedding!

Speaking of the proposal on the lake - Anthony had brought Michelle out on a Hackercraft boat on the lake and after revealing the ring and hearing Michelle say yes he held up a giant sign that read "She Said Yes".  That sign made an appearance at the reception and tied the whole experience together for them.

On the day-of I got to meet the real star of this wedding - Michelle and Anthony's adorable little dog named Baxter.  Baxter is 7 pounds soaking wet and because of a few missing teeth his tongue hangs permanently outside his adorable little face.  My assistant Tommie and I could not stop loving up on Baxter, who was appropriately dressed in a mini doggie tuxedo.  Michelle and Anthony looked amazing that day but when Baxter was around it was hard to not have all eyes on him.  (If you follow me on Instagram you got to see Baxter in real time!)

Joining me for this wedding was an incredible team of vendor friends!  All of these pictures here were taken by the talented Tom Wall, and now that he has shot their engagement and their wedding I would have to think that Tom will have a seat at their Thanksgiving table year after year.  And for good reason!  DJ'ing this fine event was Paul Malo of PM Productions, shooting video was Phillip Coltart, and the gorgeous flower arrangements were made by On Thai of Surroundings Floral Studio.  My girl Abby from the Sagamore was a great help to us, Total Events supplied the rentals that fancied up the reception space, and officiating the ceremony was Monsignor Christopher Richard.  Last but certainly not least we had the power couple of Brooklyn Duo performing live music for the dinner hour, Jen Norton of True Grace doing all the girls' makeup, Salon Seven's Michelle did all the pretty hair do's, and Upstate Transit handled the guest shuttle transportation.

Michelle and Anthony your wedding was so full of love and fun and I was so happy to be a part of it!  I know you had lots of choices for wedding planners but I am so happy you picked me!

xoxo,

Shannon
