A Look Ahead - Jessica and Gabe

Jessica and Gabe are getting married this fall at River Stone Manor and I can't wait for their wedding day!  While I sit patiently for October to arrive please enjoy these images of the engagement photo shoot they recently had with their photographer Casey Connell Photography.  Thanks so much Jessie for sharing these images with me!

Ashley and Mike - September 1, 2012

Ashley and Mike were married in Albany, NY on September 1, 2012.  They held their ceremony at St. Mary's Church with their reception at the New York State Museum.  This was my first NYS Museum wedding and I am now in love with this space!  You will easily be able to see from the pictures posted below.

 I have known Ashley for the last few years as she is a friend of a friend (our mutual friend is one of her lovely bridesmaids!).  I was honored when Ashley reached out to me during her planning process saying that she wanted me to be there to coordinate her big day!  This wedding was simply gorgeous, from the uber pretty bride and groom to their dog Puck (look for his cameo below!) to the grandeur of their church and the stunning views from their reception.  For a couple who has spent their adult lives living in Albany these venue choices couldn't have been more perfect!

There were a few details from this wedding that I was totally in love with, outside of the obvious Empire State Plaza views.  I loved that Ashley and Mike positioned their head table right in front of the stairs leading up to the museum so that behind them there was nothing but open air and beautiful architecture.  I also loved that Ashley chose tones of taupes and whites to give her girls the look of coordinating neutrals.  Also girls, when you are working with a reception venue where the room or the space are amazing there is no need to spend top dollar on centerpieces because honestly no one will notice them.  Ashley kept it smart and simple and let the view do all the talking.  J'adore!

One more thing to note!  First looks have become so super popular and I fully support the idea of seeing each other ahead of time for so many reasons!  But these guys decided to do an alternative first look by having a few moments where they were in the same space together without actually seeing each other.  You will notice this in the photos below where she is in her gown and he is in the forefront,  and where they are alongside two corners of a building holding each other's outstretched hands but not turning forward to see one another.  These are such great ideas for that something extra without actually doing the full blown first look!

Joining me on this wedding was an all star cast of vendors.  First I have to thank their photographer Rob Spring who took these amazing photos.  You are totally bringing me back to this warm late summer day with these images!  Remember how perfectly incredible the weather was at this wedding??  Garland Nelson and his band Soul Session killed it on the party side of this event.  If you are looking for A-Class music talent these guys are it!  Nicole's Catering provided the food and beverage, Albert at the NYS Museum was a great friend in the coordination of this event, Gretchen at Central Market Florist in East Greenbush provided the flowers, Krista Garcia did the girls' hair and makeup, Today's Limo provided the sweet rides, The Cookie Factory made the cake and the cupcakes, and Melinda's Dipped Chocolates wowed the guests with some delicious chocolate fountain goodness at the end of the night.

Thank you to all the vendors who rocked this wedding with me!  And an even bigger thank you to Ashley and Mike who were kind enough to bring me on board.  This is a wedding I will not soon forget!!

Ashley and Bill's Wedding is Featured in Style Me Pretty!

There are many wedding blogs and websites and uncountable number of places on the 'www' that you can google up and find interesting wedding info.  But one site that every wedding blogger, wedding vendor, and wedding bride and groom knows about is Style Me Pretty and I am happy to say that today one of my weddings we featured on their beautiful site.  

Ashley and Bill are a couple who found me in October 2011 looking for my assistance to plan their December 2012 wedding and the three of us hit it off from the start!  They are both lawyers in DC and amazingly special people, and putting together every nuance and fine tune for their wedding day was a dream job for me.  Ashley has amazing style and vision (and amazingly gorgeous red hair) and Bill has a delicate love of everything Ashley dreams for (and a cute little way about himself to boot).  With the help of floral designer David Michael Schmidt of Renaissance Floral Design and the photography genius of Tracey Buyce we whipped up a little wedding day that not only stunned the bride and groom, their family and friends, but also the wedding web blog gurus at Style Me Pretty.  Please enjoy this luscious and delicious post!

We Are 'The Knot's Best of Weddings 2013' Pick!

Nicole and Chris - September 22, 2012

Niki and Chris were married in Lake George on September 22, 2012.  They held their ceremony at the Diamond Point Community Church and their reception lakeside at the Inn at Erlowest.  These two came to me a year before their big day looking for day-of wedding coordination help.  After talking with them and getting to hear their story and feel their love I was hooked and became one of their biggest fans.

Niki and Chris first met at college at RPI and currently work and live downstate.  Niki's family has a home in Lake George and the couple comes up to the lake frequently to spend time with family and to just get away and have fun.  So their choice of being married in this area was a no brainer decision for them, and they built a wedding vision of elegance, sophistication, and good ol' celebratory fun.

These two are beautiful people inside and out, and their wedding matched their warm energy perfectly. I am a huge fan of doing a bubble send off from the church and with the large guest count and the wonderfully still air these guys had one of the best bubble send offs I've ever seen.  Then they took a ride in a vintage 1937 Rolls Royce back to Erlowest to get their party started.  Not even a little rain got them down, and luckily the weather held off until everyone was back and safely inside the Erlowest reception room.  

There were so many special moments during this wedding that all came from the deep love that everyone in these families has for one another.  It was so heart warming to see Niki's dad get emotional when talking about his little girl, and to see how truly in love Niki and Chris are and how happy they were to be joining each other in marriage.  Of course all of this emotion was captured so beautifully by photographer Tracey Buyce, as you can see in all of her images below.  Also joining me for this wedding was the always fabulous floral designer David Michael Schmidt of Renaissance Floral Design.  I loved the centerpieces, David, and I've honestly never seen the Erlowest ballroom look so beautiful!  The video talent from Niki Rossi documented all of the action of the day, and the wildly talented band New York Players kept the party rocking all night.  The girls were made beautiful by the Amy Elizabeth Makeup and Sidney's Hair Salon, and the sweet Rolls Royce and limo transportation was provided by Advantage Transportation Group.

I hope you enjoy going through the images from Niki and Chris' wedding day.  It's so fun for me to look back at them and remember this fabulous wedding and this beautiful couple!
