Details...details...details! The more details, the happier I am as a planner so I was thrilled the minute I began working with Jane and Patrick on their super-stunning Oak Hill at Livingston Manor wedding. Why do I love details so much? The answer is simple: they bring the couple's personality into a wedding. Jane and Pat worked very hard to make this wedding truly their own, and they nailed it! I had the privilege of working with Jane and Pat for about a year prior to their wedding and it was a true thrill to watch everything this couple desired come true right before our own eyes!
The venue was a gorgeous barn in the Hudson Valley of New York. It is very secluded, serene, has lots of outdoor space and beauty surrounding it. We were so lucky to have an absolutely perfect fall day - comfortable temperatures, a light breeze and sunlight. I was so happy about this because our couple had planned an outdoor ceremony and cocktail hour. The girls and guys got ready at big houses they had rented right in Hudson, and we also did the intimate First Look at the bride's rented house. Albany Trolley arrived to transport the whole crew to Oak Hill, where nearly all formal photos were completed prior to the ceremony. The ceremony was flawless (guests sat on rustic wooden benches!) and cocktail hour began, complete with a live Blue Grass band!
Guests were in awe as they entered the barn for dinner for dancing. Kris Ann and team from Fleurtacious Designs did an incredible job with the florals and decor, including the beautiful draping on the entrance of the barn. The amazing Mazzone Hospitality was on hand with their top-notch cuisine and service. Some of my personal favorite details (aside from Jane's absolutely stunning and unique gown) include a vintage suitcase for gift cards, a bicycle wheel that guests hung signed luggage tags on in lieu of a traditional guest book, a fresh rosemary sprig on each of the guests napkins, seating chart & ceremony programs written on antique windows and homemade relish for guest favors.
Jane and Pat's guests enjoyed an incredible meal by Mazzone Hospitality which included items such as warm Autumn Bisque, Cabernet Braised Short Ribs and family style roasted vegetables, plus an amazing dessert spread with assorted pies and warm apple cider donuts with freshly scooped vanilla ice cream. Guests enjoyed dancing the night away with tunes provided by Jimmy Lutz Entertainment.
Special thank yous go to the amazing photographer, NYC-based Kelly Kollar, Susan Livingston of Oak Hill at Livingston Manor, Columbia Tent Rentals, Patricia Luccardi from "The Beautiful Bride" for hair and make up, Reverend Frances Wattman Rosenau, Kris Ann & team from Fleurtacious Designs, Connie, Sean & team from Mazzone Hospitality, Heather from Albany Trolley, Bert from "Out of the Bluegrass" Band, and Jimmy from Jimmy Lutz Entertainment. This incredible team of wedding professionals worked seamlessly together before and during Jane and Pat's big day to deliver the most incredible day for this special couple.
Jane and Pat I could not have dreamed of a more perfect day for you two! I am so happy I had the opportunity to work with you and help make your day as special as it was and as special as you two deserved it to be.
Love,
Erin R.
