Danielle and Daniel - September 6, 2014

Dan and Danielle were married on September 6th, 2014.  Let me tell you Danielle is a remarkably calm bride.  I began working with Danielle and Dan four months before their wedding, when every bride’s worst nightmare occurred.  Danielle received a call letting her know that her venue had been double booked for her wedding day and that she couldn't continue as planned with having her wedding there.  So here was Danielle four months out from the big day with no venue but she wasn’t fazed - she knew she was still marrying the man of her dreams and we were going to help her make it happen!  As it turned out the NYS Museum was available and it turned into a spectacular day!

Danielle and her ladies were treated like royalty from the lovely stylists Heather Flansburg of Executive Cuts and makeup artist Amy Michaud who dazzled the girls with beautiful vintage looks.  Danielle wanted her wedding to feel as though you were stepping back into the roaring twenties and her wedding hair and makeup definitely emulated her theme.  Laura Andrea Harris of Laura AndreaHarris Photography captured stunning portraits of Danielle with her DIY brooch bouquet before we headed over to the museum.

Due to the weather we had to move the ceremony inside, and the carousel instantly became the most amazing backdrop.  Guests were seated on either side of the 10,000 fresh white rose petals that filled the ceremony aisle.  The cutest little ring bearer carried an art deco sign made by Danielle reading “Here comes the Bride.”  Danielle surprised Dan and walked down the aisle to his favorite song, 'The Man in Me' by Bob Dylan.  It was such a special moment as the two locked eyes and joined together to begin their life as husband and wife.  As they sealed their vows with a kiss the carousel lit up and began to play!

Guests enjoyed a fabulous cocktail hour complete with a champagne tower.  They later found their way to their seats by way of hand labeled silver champagne splits.  Tables were topped with black satin table clothes silver art deco table numbers and stunning white flowers from Fleurtacious Designs.  Guests enjoyed a spectacular dinner from Birch Hill Catering, and Linda and her team of servers were fantastic.  The Silver Arrow Band kept the party going all night and guests finished everything off with a delicious slice of Albany skyline themed cake from Zachary’s Pastry Shoppe.   Also on hand to make this day spectacular was Albert Gnidica from the NYS Museum and trolley rides from Advantage Transportation Group.

Dan and Danielle were so much fun to work with they truly had a unique vision for their day and all of the small details really brought about their roaring twenties theme.  Dan and Danielle I wish you both the very best in all that you do, it was such a pleasure getting to work with you.  Hope to see you soon!
