Tina and Chris were married at Oak Hill in Hudson on June 27, 2015. These guys were so fun to work with and their friends and families had such great energy to be around. Even though they had some rain on their wedding day they never let it get them down or distract them from the beauty of the people surrounding them.
Tina and Chris are not just great people but they are Phish fans, too! Anyone who knows me knows how much Phish is a part of my life and when I was working through the details with Tina and she told me the last song of the night was going to be Tweezer Reprise I nearly lost it. I knew right then that these guys were going to be a blast to work with!
These two started their wedding day getting ready at Shakespeare on the Hudson, and when hair and makeup was done the girls whisked over to Oak Hill to put on their dresses and get ready for the ceremony. Tina and Chris chose not to see each other before the ceremony so we utilized the secret tower passages at the barn to get the girls in the building without running into the groom. Although the ceremony was originally planned for outside we were able to bring the wooden arch (that one of the groomsmen made) into the barn so that Tina and Chris could say their I Do's with a beautiful background. After some handwritten vows (with a reference to never being too old for summer tour!) these two sealed their promise with a kiss and the party got started!
And I just have to point out on thing - I know it's no bride or groom's dream to have rain on their wedding day but I can tell you from years of experience that the harder it rains the crazier the dance party gets! The party for Tina and Chris was certainly no exception.
Tina incorporated a lot of DIY elements in her wedding decor like a window frame escort board and Just Married bicycles. These pieces, along with the strands of twinkle lights, fabric swags on the barn door, and the gorgeous flowers all made the barn shine. It may have been raining outside but guests were not underwhelmed with all the beautiful things to see in the reception space. The space was just perfect!
Joining me on this wedding was a great vendor team! Photographers Samantha and Dave from Arius Photography killed it on these images. So gorgeous! Catering was done by Creative Foods Catering, Rob Kelly from 74 Events DJ'd the party, Randall and Jason from Well Spun Wedding Films were shooting video, and Floral Fantasies by Sara created the beautiful flower arrangements. Victoria Milne performed the beautiful ceremony, Allison and her team from Bloom Salon did the girls' hair and makeup, Marsh Bus provided shuttle transportation for the guests, and Liana Turner from Oak Hill helped not only with event details but in watching Tina and Chris' little doggie Coby.
Thank you Tina and Chris for choosing WPP to coordinate your day. And I hope to see you on many tours in the future!
xoxo,
Shannon
