Ashleigh and Matt - September 4, 2016

Ashleigh and Matt celebrated a camp-themed wedding on September 4, 2016 at Camp Echo Lake in Warrensburg.  Both Ashleigh and Matt work as camp directors and it was important to them to connect their friends and family to the experience of a weekend-long 'camp' celebration in the mountains.  And since Matt was a former counselor at Camp Echo Lake this was destined to be the perfect venue for them to celebrate and say I Do.

Ashleigh had found me online and booked me just shy of a year before their wedding.  She handled all of the planning but I came in one month before the big day to put all of the final details together.  I loved all of the small touches that they thought about including in their wedding weekend, from the ADK chair guest book to the fun hashtag to the low key use of all of the camp buildings as their wedding spaces.  The focus of this wedding was on fun and as you can see these guys really nailed it!

As for the day of the wedding I arrived on property to meet up with the girls who were using the camp's Health Center as a getting ready space.  All of the bridesmaids wore different dresses and Ashleigh's wedding dress was just so ridiculously stunning.  She definitely brought glam to the camp that weekend - and I remember saying that to her as soon as I saw her in that gown!  After pinning the guys with their boutonnieres and making sure they were set for the day Ashleigh and Matt were off for their first look among the trees.  Then we got in some pre-ceremony bridal party photos along the camp and in the athletic gym, then it was time for the couple to be tucked away as guests arrived for the ceremony.  Their chuppah was set up on the edge of Echo Lake which was so beautiful with the calm water and the mountain top backdrop.  Some of the guests kicked their shoes off and dipped their toes in the sand as Ashleigh and Matt said their vows and made their union official.

Cocktail hour was held in the camp's Dining Hall, then guests moved over to an open air pavilion space for dinner and dancing.  Some of these guests had been on property for the length of the holiday weekend and they were so primed and prepped for partying!  And as you can see from the photos these guys definitely knew how to get down!

This wedding was so much fun for me to work, and Ashleigh and Matt were such a great couple to work with.  Camp weddings have become popular in the last few years but I have never seen a camp wedding done as perfectly as this one - which is all to be expected when two Camp Directors get married!  Mess hall meals, Color Wars, lawn games, bonfires, and all of it in a beautiful Adirondack setting.  Sounds like a party to me!

This whole thing could not have come off this well if it weren't for the help of all of Ashleigh and Matt's vendors.  Emily and Camp Echo Lake were so easy and amazing to work with, and New World Catering provided the yummy food and great service staff.  Music was played by the band Soul Sensations, all of the pretty flowers were done by Nicole and Suzanne at Blooms Floral Design, event rentals were supplied by Columbia Tent Rentals and the vintage lounge furniture was rented through Kailyn at Rustic Robin.  Dawn Ewing was the wedding officiant, Amy and her team from Blush 518 did all the girls' hair and makeup, and Premiere Plus was the shuttle company to get guests to and from the wedding.  But last and certainly not least is the credit that needs to be given to Kaja Tirrul, owner of Jack Loves Mary Photography, who was the photo artist who created all of these incredible images!  Kaja you are my new favorite Canadian and are welcome back to document any of my future weddings - your work is so amazing!

I could go on and on about this wedding but I will stop blabbering and let the photos speak for themselves.  Ashleigh and Matt - you guys are two incredibly beautiful people and I am so thankful you chose me to be your wedding coordinator.  I hope you always keep your youthful glow and never stop dancing!

xoxo,

Shannon
